Spring/Summer

If Mother Nature cooperates, our season begins in late March or early April. We are busy right from the start, planting several varieties of tomatoes, peppers, herbs, squash...we’re adding new produce to our fields every year! It’s thrilling to see beautiful produce arrive and start to fill our tables, and our greenhouse fill with flowers and planters of every size and colour. As the weather warms up, it seems as if new things arrive almost every day! From asparagus and rhubarb in the early part of the season, to a beautiful abundance of lettuces, beans, sweet corn, peas and berries as the days get warmer.

Fall

Harvest time is always exciting! All of the hard work in the field begins to show in the form of beautiful kale, tomatoes galore, peppers, squash and pumpkins, picked right at their very peak.  Our local growers provide us with, among a bounty of other things, a huge variety of apples, from Honeycrisp to Wolf River.  We carry many unique varieties, and we’ll happily help you pick out your new favourite!  Summer flowers make way for stunning pots of mums – our displays outside the store have been known to inspire a picture or two!

Winter

As the growing season winds down, the holiday season arrives, and with it comes an amazing selection of Canadian grown greenery: boughs, garland, swags and wreathes.  You can order a custom designed and crafted holiday urn for your front porch, made by the incredibly talented Sherri Turner herself!  Be sure to watch for details about our holiday open house weekend, held annually in November.  It’s the perfect time to stock up on goodies and deck your halls!  The season ends for us in the best way, with the arrival of freshly cut Christmas trees at the end of November.  The outside of the store is lined with premium Balsams, Firs, Spruce and Pine – aromatherapy at its best!  Our season generally ends in mid December, once our last Christmas tree has sold.

Then we start planning it all again for the next year!
